What are the costs?
Apprentices earn while they learn, meaning you’ll be paid during your training with a contractor and/ or sponsor. -
What kind of work will I do as an apprentice?
You’ll gain experience in a wide range of electrical work, from residential installations to commercial and industrial wiring, troubleshooting, and maintenance. -
What happens after I complete the program?
Graduates of the apprenticeship program are prepared to take the Journeyman Electrician Exam and are fully qualified for a career in the electrical field. We also assist with job placement through our network of local contractors.

Our four-year apprenticeship program is designed to provide a well-rounded education that balances theoretical knowledge with practical, real-world skills. By enrolling, you’ll gain access to:
- Earn While You Learn: You’ll work alongside experienced electricians on actual projects, earning wages while you build your skills.
- 46 College Credit Hours: Upon completing the program, you’ll have earned 46 college credits, which can be applied toward a degree if you choose to continue your education.
- Nationally Accredited: Our program is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor, ensuring you’ll receive high-quality training that’s valued by employers nationwide.
- Job Placement Assistance: With our close ties to local contractors and industry leaders, we help our apprentices connect with job opportunities in the area.
How the Program Works
Our apprenticeship program is a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction over the course of four years. Here’s what you can expect:
- On-the-Job Training: Apprentices work full-time with a contractor, gaining practical experience in all aspects of electrical work, from residential, commercial and industrial wiring to maintenance and repair.
- Classroom Instruction: Two evenings per week, apprentices attend classes where they learn the theory behind electrical systems, safety standards, and the latest industry practices.
- Learning Management System (LMS): Access course materials, assignments, and progress tracking through our online learning platform, making it easy to stay organized and keep up with coursework.
Who Can Enroll?
We’re looking for motivated individuals who are ready to commit to a career in the electrical industry. To qualify for the apprenticeship program, you’ll need to meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a basic aptitude test (math and reading)
- A willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment
